PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL CLASSES

All classes are held in the Regional Library Computer Center (RLCC) of the Central (downtown) Library. All class times are 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Basic PC: Requirements: No previous experience necessary.

Basic Internet: Requirements: Experience using a PC and a mouse.

Tuesday, October 6th

Saturday, October 17th

Keyboarding: Requirements: No experience necessary.

Monday, October 12th

Saturday, October 31st

Word Processing with Open Office Part I: Requirements: Experience using a PC and a mouse.

Saturday, October 10th

Monday, October 19th

Word Processing with Open Office Part II: Requirements: Word Processing with Open Office Part I

Saturday, October 24th

Monday, October 26th

Presentations with Open Office: Requirements: Experience  using a PC and a mouse.

Tuesday, October 13th

Spreadsheets with Open Office: Requirements: Experience using a PC and a mouse.

Tuesday, October 27th

Space is limited. Registration will be handled on first-come, first served basis. If you register for a class and cannot attend, please call the Center as soon as possible. No one will be admitted after 10 minutes past the time of class is scheduled to start. These classes are provided by the Jefferson County Library Cooperative (JCLC).

Jefferson County Citizens

For those of you who have business to conduct at the downtown courthouse there is another option besides waiting in a line for several hours. Many transactions done at the courthouse can be done online at the following web address:

http://jeffconline.jccal.org

You can:

  • Renew car tags.
  • Find property information.
  • Pay tickets.
  • Buy or renew hunting and fishing licenses
  • Find job listings

If you don’t have a computer at home, please visit your local library where computers and staff are available to assist you. The Regional Library Computer Center has 20 computers available for use during these hours of operation:

Monday: 12-7:30

Tuesday: 12-7:30

Wednesday-Friday: 9-5:30

Saturday: 1-5:30

Sunday: 2-5:30

Labor Day Closing

The Regional Library Computer Center, in conjunction with the Birmingham Public Library, will be closed on Sunday, September 6th and Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day. Our normal hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, September 8th.
