Take a break…
from the heat and take a class or two at the Regional Library Computer Center. With the heat bearing down on us and the kids heading back to school, what better time to come and brush up on your computer skills by enrolling in one of our many classes.
You can get a glimpse of what we have to offer by clicking on the links at the top of the page. A list of classes offered by the RLCC can be found by clicking on “Classes”. Also, you can visit your local library and pick up one of our computer brochures, which lists all classes which are offered by the RLCC, Springville Road and Five Points West libraries.
To register for classes at the RLCC, please call 205-226-3799 or 205-226-3798.
Memorial Day Weekend

The Birmingham Public Library and the Regional Library Computer Center will be open this weekend. We will, however, be closed on Monday, May 28th in observance of Memorial Day. Have a safe and fun-filled weekend!
Our Purpose…
There are many purposes for this blog. First, we want to provide the highest quality of service to our patrons. This high quality of service will consist of up-to-date information about the ongoing classes that we offer in the Regional Library Computer Center. It will also consist of tips or tricks that we have found handy in various software programs that we want to pass on to you, our reader.

We have added several features to this blog. First we have a section that lists the computer classes. We also have a section that contains a link to the actual handout that you will receive if you attend one of our classes. There is also a section that lists any tutorials that we have found useful in developing our computer skills.
Please stay tuned for more information from the RLCC.
Upcoming Class Schedule
The upcoming class schedule will contain information about classes for July-November 2007. This schedule should be ready by the middle of June. Look for it at your local library or come by the Regional Library Computer Center and pick up a copy.
*There is one notation that I must make here. Even though the new class schedule will contain class information for the months of July-November, the RLCC does not hold classes during the months of November and December. There are, however, other libraries within the Birmingham Public Library system which do hold classes in November and beyond.
Free Computer Classes
We offer several free computer classes to the public at the Regional Library Computer Center. The Birmingham Public Library is seperated into two buildings in downtown Birmingham. We are located on the third floor of the Linn Henley Research Building next to Linn Park.
Here is our Class Schedule.
