Basic Internet class

Do you know how we got the Internet? Do you know what an ISP is? Do you know the difference between the Internet and the World Wide Web? Do you know which Internet Browser you have? These are some things patrons learned today during Monday’s Basic Internet class taught by Farah A. Ferguson, Trainer for the Birmingham Public Library. Patrons also had some hands-on training about keyword search, assisted by volunteer Herman Hatch and UAB work-study student Michelle Ocampo.

Classes offered by the RLCC are free, but registration is required. You may call 226-3799 to inquire about upcoming classes. We are currently working on our September schedule, and we will have more information next week
