The Birmingham Public Library Public Computer Services, comprised of the Regional Library Computer Center and the Computer Commons, offer free computer classes and computer use for the public. The RLCC is located on the fourth floor of the Linn-Henley Research Building of the Birmingham Public Library. The RLCC is currently closed to public use. There is also a computer lab, known as the Computer Commons, located on the third floor of the Linn-Henley Research Building.
The Computer Commons has 30 computers for public use and is open during library hours. These computers automatically shut down 15 minutes prior to library closing. There is a one-hour time limit on computer use, and patrons need their library card number in order to log in. If you don’t have a free library card, you can get one with a valid ID through the Circulation Department located on the first floor of the East Building.
